Bonjour à tous! Merci de m’avoir rejoindre aujourd’hui! Ce que je veux vous dire c’est que j’étais extrêmement occupé avec le développement d’un guide d’études pour vous aider et vous guider en préparation pour les examens du mois prochaine. The study guide is not meant to give you the answers, rather I designed this study guide so that you will use what your professors/teachers/instructors taught you in class. I’m going to be like your conscience, your Jimminy Cricket, guiding you and providing you with tips and tricks to tackle the written portion of your assessments. I’ve been working long and hard on this study guide. It should be up by mid next week or so covering conjugations, what to do if you can’t find the right word, or have no clue what a word means in one of your questions. Please comment down below what you would like included and I’ll do my best to look over what you’ve suggested; if not already in my guide I’ll do my best to include it. au revoir for now, Jules

Bonjour à tous! Merci de m’avoir rejoint aujourd’hui. Today’s word of the day is ‘débat’ which translates to ‘debate’ in English. The past year has been full of debates mostly due to election cycles within both the United States and France. Below is a sentence that demonstrates the usage of this word. Le débat entre Emmanuel Macron et Marine Le Pen à été extrêmement passionné. Photo credit: France InfoBonjour à tous! J’espère que vous avez passé un bon week-end. I hope you may have survived a weekend full of study as November exams are just around the corner. Which brings us to today’s word of the day survivant. Survivant translates to ‘survivor’. It can be used in the following manner: « Le personnage de Leonardo Di Caprio dans ´The Revenant’ est survivant après une lutte héroïque dans son périple ». For example you can say, « J’ai fait de la lutte au lycée mais pas à la fac. » Photo credit: via WWE Bonjour à tous! Merci de m’avoir rejoint aujourd’hui. I’ve been thinking a lot lately, but before I begin I must apologise for activity or lack there of, over the last few months. I’ve had a few personal obstacles to overcome and wanted to introduce something new and fun to the site: Word of the Day! It is something quick, easy, and simple that will hopefully aid in your acquisition of the language and expand your vocabulary. For today we’ll keep it simple. Today’s word of the day is rouge à lèvres. If you don’t know what that words means attempt to translate it literally; deconstruct the word. This word/phrase translates to “red of lips” in English, or essentially tinting of lips in other words lipstick. The reason I chose this as the word of the day is because someone at work asked me what the term rouge à lèvres meant on the packaging of her YSL lipstick. Photo Credit: via YSL |
